Two students into Medical School

Last year we made the big decision to support two students with their efforts to study medicine. While we, naturally, loved the idea of helping talented students become doctors, we knew it was a huge financial commitment with medicine being the most expensive degree in the country. We also knew it was not easy to get onto the course, with far more applicants than places at the prestigious Catholic University. We are delighted to report that both girls, Dalia and Yissel, have successfully passed the entrance exams (after a long delay due to Covid restrictions), and started the course proper this week. Both are from single-mother families with their income falling well below what is needed to study Medicine.
