For the first time we have been able to offer swimming classes thanks to Lizzy, our newly arrived volunteer. Most Paraguayans never learn to swim as it is a landlocked country, pools are few and far between and swimming lessons are expensive. However, it is still a key skill for locals to learn as it is a popular recreational activity to bathe in the rivers in the hot summer months. We have 40 swimming students taking advantage of this summer course.
