On 23 July the British Ambassador Jeremy Hobbs paid us a visit, together with his Mexican wife Erendira, his daughter Jasini, and his assistant Veronica Porro. They brought much appreciated gifts of computers and other electronic equipment to augment an earlier donation for much-needed books.
The Food Technology students did a lovely folk dance, the children sang, and the Advanced English students explained how the new books had helped them. We finished with a lunch in the Santa Maria Hotel, accompanied by harp music explained and played by Wilson, and a visit to the Santa María museum.
