We started off 2024 by opening a new English course at a small institute in San Gerónimo (one of Santa Maria’s compañías) and it has been a great success! One of our former volunteers Alice who now lives in Paraguay is currently teaching this class; she says that they are all very keen students.
Although only 15 minutes from Santa Maria, many of the students who attend our new class are unable to travel there as their parents do not have a car or motorbike. By opening this course we have been able to give the opportunity to learn English to people that wouldn’t have had the chance before.
