SMEF held its annual exam for university scholarships on 11 January, and five students were offered assistance. Dania will study Business Administration and Claudia, Accountancy – both at the Universidad Católica. Daniel will study Agronomy at the Universidad Nacional. Yohana hopes to study Medicine, and Evelin Journalism, and we are still investigating the possibilities for them.
The exam consisted principally of an essay on three people they admire: someone from history (nearly everyone chose Jesus); someone from today’s world (most popular choices were the Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, and Pope Francis); and a personal acquaintance (most chose their mother). There was also an intelligence test, and we took into account their marks in the English course, where we have been able to observe them over a period of time.
