August and September are the months of a change-over of volunteers, in accord with the academic year in the northern hemisphere. At the end of August we said goodbye to our volunteer Sarah Peyton Jones (photo left). And on 5 September we had the farewell event, with a cake, for two more volunteers, Caitlin Ross (right) and Brittany Ross (left). But we are not left with nobody, because Isobel Foxford (centre) arrived on 2 September to keep us going this year. Warm thanks to all the volunteers for their immense contribution to our English classes (and in the case of Sarah, to piano and German classes too).
5 September also marked a short concert in the church when our violinists were joined by music students from Ayolas and Santa Rosa to play at the end of the sixth Mass of the Novena leading up to the 8 September fiesta patronal.
